Christina Moreira has become a strong community advocate in the City of Elizabeth, NJ and tries to empower others to do the same. After moving to Elizabeth at an early age and graduating from Elizabeth High School in 1994, she went on to receive an Associate degree in Applied Sciences from UMDNJ (now Rutgers) in 2003. She is employed as a dental hygienist. Mrs. Moreira is currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health.

When not working as a dental hygienist or busy being a wife and mother to two beautiful young children, she is a fierce advocate for youth and other pertinent issues in the City of Elizabeth. With her devoted passion and persistent attitude towards resolving systematic educational issues in our schools, she created a Facebook group called Elizabeth Parents and Students Care, which creates educational accountability as well as strategies on how to better serve our youth and educational community. She is also a coordinator for Save Our Schools in NJ; a grassroot organization of parents who believe that every child in New Jersey should have access to a high-quality public education. Mrs. Moreira is also a member of the Union County Racial Justice Task Force and serves on the Administrative Board for Team Interrupters Inc., both located in the City of Elizabeth.
