Who are Peer Bridgers?
Peer Bridgers are individuals who have a history of incarceration. They have successfully transitioned back into the community and are now able to assist others returning home.
These individuals share a unique lived experience with anyone dealing with the trauma of arrest and/or incarceration.
Peer Bridgers offer inspirational and practical support that helps to create a bridge from the past to a positive future.

Some goals Peer Brigders can assist with:
- Helping to establish positive relationships among family members
- Securing personal documents
- Representation with support social services
- Tapping into spiritual growth and healing
Becoming a Peer Bridger
Team Interrupters, Inc. periodically runs training workshops for those who would like to volunteer by assisting people entering back into society after a period of incarceration.
A Peer Bridger can:
- Learn how to advocate for returning citizens in need
- Help peers gain self-confidence
- Share how to overcome personal trauma with meaning and purpose
